"Black" is the introductory song to this record and it is one of the best album openers of all-time

this review is awful. for your 14th review, I can't believe you're getting away with that approval.

I really can't stand anything about this band. I'm gonna go listen to some Buck Cherry now and really ruin my day.

Seasons is their best with Home and Animosity not far behind. For newcomers, I'd check any of these 3.

I actually really like this album in terms of feel-good, fun to listen to kind of music. Sevendust would be good if their other releases were this solid.

Lol, what? Feel good? This is the darkest Sevendust album.

Just gonna ignore the second part of your post...

Lol, yeah maybe "feel good" wasn't the right term. What I meant was it's fun to listen to, and perfect for listening to while working out for example. I'm a big Progressive guy, so usually this type of stuff doesn't interest me much

Alright, haha. That makes more sense (I see you 5'd New Mythology Suite).

And yeah, this is the only band of this style and from this era that I never stopped liking. You should check out Animosity if you never have.

These guys are pretty good. Their albums aren't really consistent. First four albums are decent. Animosity is probably their best. Some good songs, quite a few meh ones. They don't seem to have changed their sound much either, most of their albums sound kind of similar to me. Which is good if you like them and their sound, I guess. This is one of those Greatest Hits bands to me.

That's pretty accurate, I suppose. A lot of their peers shifted to this same sort of radio friendly alt-rock, but they stayed true for the most part. I respect that. The last couple of albums have gotten more experimental and varied though with a bit more technical guitar playing and whatnot. Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow is probably their second best.

Yeah man I remember animosity, it was solid too but not as good as this one. I recall enjoying the softer and less-heavy songs off that album- Xmas Day, Trust, Angels Son, and Live Again.

Yeah, cool. I think that album had the perfect balance of melody and heaviness. Also, the best vocal performances of the genre. Ever. Lajon and Clint almost had sort of a Layne/Jerry thing going on. Great stuff.

Definitely! I've always personally liked Morgan's accenting vocal parts on the heavier songs too.
