Transistor was not what put them on the map! Grassroots is the best album 311's ever done and if anything put 311 on the map it was their self-titled album. n00b

but it was 1995’s self-titled LP and its follow-up Transistor that really put this band on the map.
Now, I know this might be tough, but try reading that sentence again the way it is actually written. You might find that I credited both albums with putting them on the map, including the one you just called me a noob for not naming. nOOb.

New 311? Ugh. I used to love this band ten years ago. Shame they've become so mediocre. They really peaked with "From Chaos".
