huh. I must be the only person who thought the s/t was their best (at a 3). But yea, this was a really, really bad album imo, so a 1.5 it gets.

By the way, I had no clue Gontier was married and had kids. I thought he was single & depressed. So the angst here is just manufactured too? cool

He's married and he refers to his God-child as his "first born" so yeah. He was single and depressed when he wrote One-X, because he was in Rehab due to drugs. Not anymore, so yeah the angst is pretty much manufactured. The self-titled was the best of the albums in my opinion. Oh and thanks for the feedback everyone.

Yeah, but I couldcould hear it in One-X lol.

Like in Riot, he sounded fucking angry. Granted, TDG isn't a good enough band to write anything besides "Let's start a riot, a riot..." but the anger is there to make it pretty good (for mainstream standards)

I knew something was lacking in here, although this album is admittedly less angsty in the first place. (I'm thinking Bitter Taste, Someone Who Cares, Bully, and Last to Know are the only ones, and the last one hardly qualifies as angsty. I might have forgotten something though)
