i never bothered with this band, as i like my black metal "intelligent" (as in Thorns, Mayhem (Grand Declaration of War and forth), Dodheimsgard (666...), Code etc.)

I especially agree with what you write about BM's death in the late 90's.

Finally listened to this and agree with the review, this just feels lifeless to me. When i listen to bm like this i want to feel like

im being kicked to death by a crazed lunatic not bored to death by a band running out of ideas.

Sounds like this album is pretty bad, why the average rating? I definitely have a soft spot for these guys so I will most likely listen to this. Sexed up review.
