green day dont deserve any of the popularity they are getting with the arrival of american idiot and bullet in a bible. they are and always have been one of the worst bands to disgrace the name of punk or even pop-punk. the band shouldnt need to use crude humour to gain fans from the midstream scene. billie joes guitar playing is awful and always has been. all theyre songs sound exactly alike or hasnt anyone noticed? tre cool cant drum worth fuckin anything. mike dirnt, an okay bassist would be a ray of light in the band, but for the fact that the few lyrics he does write are even worse than billie joe's!! the musicmanship on this dvd is awful , and there has never been a more horrible attempt at a corporate punk orchestra. they have originated nothing and destroyed the genre if anything. i agree with "to each his own", but if green day didnt right catchy pop tunes under a false label, they would be no better than the people they trashi in thier live interviews

^^^a little harsh but i do agree with alot. i agree it is crap when people call them punk as they never were true punk always pop punk. there are very few true punk bands that have not become pop punk or sold out in the past 10 to 15 years(nofx and pennywise come to mind). tre cool is an ok drummer but overated. his beats and fills are simple but he does have decent style, but i hate when ppl say hes the best drummer in history. also i have come to realize that the band is full of themselves. billie joel is taped saying "mike dirnt is the best bassist of punk ever" and "tre cool is the best drummer ever." get real. there are plenty of better bassists. paul simonon was better from london calling on cuz their first 2 cds were just simple music. theres 4 strings on a bass for the most part mike dirnt uses just 2 (and once in a great while 3--only exception is longview). and i already voiced my opinion on tre cool. not even close to the best punk drummer ever, let alone THE best ever.

Tre is an OK drummer, he gets the job done and well. He doesnt need to go over the top.

i hate it when a perfectly okay band who we can relate to as people, who write songs about alienation and boredom and admittedly do it well, suddenly decide to slap on some eyeliner, make a crappy album with the lamest concept ever, and "sell their product to the kids" with a shitty live album.

bullet in a bandwagon would be more appropriate.

all of u are on crack, this is one of the best live shows ever, yes they prbably shouldnt have shortened it but i like the backstage interviews and stuff.plus mike dirnt is a very good bass player he just isnt polished up,and tre cool is awesome at drums, probably not the best ever ,but hes good and he gets the job done.all u ppl keep takling about greenday not being punk but ive never heard any band that doesnt go just a little bit pop punk ever.the sex pistols have a couple of poppier songs and so does everyone, and that also doesnt mean that u have to hate a band for what they play it should be if u like the music than u should like them.ppl who go around in greenday shirts are not posers neither, they just like the music, and greenday arent posers they are punk but just a different breed of it,they dont follow the normal punk stereotype, that just means that they are rebels, which is punk so take everything i i just said and shove it up all ur a**es

This isn't MSN rebelrocker, actual words if you please, and compared to many other musicians and bands all of green day are poor musicly. Yet I still liked them back in the day, but now its really only the old stuff.

I truly hated this live album. Playing Time of Your Life on distorted electric was a terrible move, although slightly tricky to play the acoustic, it could have been done.

The dvd that comes with it is also rather dull.

I like this review. It isn't the novice ,track-by-track, "I don't know how to write a review", useless banter.

It was a personal statement. Word.

I think it was cool. That sounded lame.
Seriosly, though, it was good. The song choice on the live album wasn't the best (why We Are The Waiting?) but I thought Time Of Your Life sounded great. The solo was really awesome.
I loved Tre in the documentary part ("No man can eat fifty eggs.")
