Well, finally. You were the one who introduced me to The Allman Brothers in the first place.
Yeah true that, but don't ask me what their musicians were looking like. Prog faces are more easy to detect for the proghead I am.
I was so afraid of being wrong once more..pheww.

It's well known, the modern prog act Spock's Beard was hugely influenced by Yes. Here, it seems that roles are reversed. I also find that the music is mainly straight, nearly bland; In effect, Yes play way more safely and are way less dynamic and adventurous than I was expecting from their last (last?) effort, hoping for a striking, memorable album. I may be too harsh, but I badly miss Rick Wakeman (who doesn't believe at all in Yes without Jon) since the keys are in much more of a supporting role on here. Maestro Steve Howe is too often discreet or 'back seat' for my taste, and I'm not a fan of his acoustic track 'Solitaire' which sounds pretty much like a warm up. Also, Allan White is increasingly uninspired and lazy, affecting the efficiency of their famous rhythm section. Bruford would be the ideal remedy, in my dreams of course. Overall, as found in any pop music standards, Fly From Here is more like a vocal driven album, so Bravo BenoƮt!!! At some extent, It sounds like Fleetwood Mac meets either Electric Light Orchestra or Alan Parsons Project.
Good album but not great Yes'.
