I think this is underrated. There sure are some tracks that are really nothing more than just Amorphis as we know them since 4 albums. But in the end the great songs overbalance. "Crack in the Stone" is just epic.

"Crack in the Stone" is probably the best track on this thing, yeah, but the album as a whole lacks highlights and to me is just a collection of typical Amorphis songs. It's not a bad album, but it isn't exactly thrilling either.

Wow this band has changed drastically. Only ever heard their first couple of albums until recently hearing this, nothing like I remembered them.

I think this album is great. I took a little break from Amorphis, and coming back to this album is refreshing. Will listen to the rest of their line-up in my collection because I probably forgot how killer those are, as well.

This and Skyforger are the weakest albums in their final form, but both are still pretty enjoyable, specially Skyforger.

first 5 songs all slap better than their last two albums. I'm feeling both glad to finally checking this out with an open mind and mad that the average rating has deterred me from giving this a honest chance for so long.

guess mdm just really wasn't popular around 2010-2011 because every record released in that time by a popular mdm band got shafted despite being great.
