I would agree, it is a short review in which a little more time or detail could have been put in, and by standards is not a 'Bad' review, however I just don't think it's a particularly stand out review as it is.
BUT....
I did like your comment, as is.... "A real highlight that runs throughout this album is that Green day has discovered their instrumental talents; mike’s bass playing is really good, Tre isn’t using a drum-roll every second and Billie has concentrated on making simple, catchy riffs that will stick in your head. " (Sorry, I don't know how to Quote)
Of which I totally agree, which is why this is my favourite Greenday album.

It's my favorite album for sure. Dookie is too soft, American Idiot got tired, but Insomniacs consistently hard hitting.

Dookie is too soft? I've never heard that before, but I can see were you are coming from.
I think the reason that American Idiot got so tiring is because of the so called rock-opera's and the overplayed singles. The whole album just seemed dull to me.
Insomniac is my favorite GD album just because there isn't a track that I dislike. Every song is great, "Panic Song" and "Walking Contradiction" are my two favroite GD tracks.
