This is a great album, love Jump Error, Club Wolf, Beta's Brilliancy, Ensis, and Day of Reflection.

The thing about this though, is that it's basically progressive rock performed on the NES. I'd love to hear these songs performed by a full band, with the greater range of dynamics and nuance that affords. A full-band version of Jump Error with the shredding leads played on guitar would sound fantastic.

People get turned of from this album because they label its nature as chiptune as its only novelty and defining factor. They miss out on what makes this album cool and unique— Rich Vreeland's skills at complex music with groovy rhythms and beautiful melodies.

definitely give this album a listen cone, i'm not a huge chiptune fan but i've always really enjoyed this. it's about as gimmick-free as this genre gets

Yeah that was worth the listen. Cool stuff. Really liked Beta's Brilliance, probably the most ambient tune, well placed in the middle of the album.
