This album is okay, but there is definitely need for improvement.
Heaven Beside You owns this cd.

So Close is a pretty good song, even if it could be considered filler.

AIC gets weird sometimes, but when they get it right its truly amazing. "Nothin' Song" and "Shame In You" and "Heaven Beside You" are great songs.

This album is... Difficult to describe, really. Sometimes I think that AIC just plain destroyed all their other work with this, it's so good, sometimes I think it's really good (most common) and sometimes I just think... Good. Kinda weird to decide how I feel about it really.

this album is DEFINATELY good. its interesting to wonder where they would have gone from here though. sometimes i think the potential is limitless and they would have further experimented. but sometimes i felt like they quit on top, and probably didn't have many more ideas. either way im disgusted that they reunited with that shitty singer. i would rather just listen to jerry's solo stuff (which was pretty good)

I really enjoyed this album as well as most of Alice In Chains' other works. It's only negative side as the review stated, is usually poor mixing and overediting. It is difficult to understand Staleys voice and that removes some of the punch of the album that previous AIC releases had boasted.

That rumor seems very legit, and thats a pretty classy way to show it. I too have mixed feelings about this album, too. However I love it to death and AIC has never released a bad album imo.
