I do like some electronic music. It's not my biggest musical choice obviously, but I don't find it bad. The electronic songs on Illud are just plain bad. There are bands that can do the metal influenced techno/industrial stuff very well, but Morbid Angel is not one of them.

I would looooooove lyrics like that on this album. Instead we get to hear about how Dave is Morbid and he's living hardcore radical.



The lyrics on the Steve Tucker albums were actually much more complex than anything they had done in the past. And "gore and eternal damnation" can go a long way when written well. Just look at Immolation or Carcass. And I totally disagree with your "3 albums" benchmark.

I can handle bad lyrics for the most part. Heck, the new Deicide lyrics are pretty awful but at least I don't feel like a total dumbass reciting some of them. These lyrics are just a whole new level of horrible.
