I've only heard Weighing Souls of Sand, but that album is fantastic.

yeah i feel you. I had a week where I only listened to dark ambient sort of stuff that was less demanding and more atmospheric. But with my level of tinnitus I cant stand having no music playing which perpetuates the problem but oh well

This album is a major grower. Coming from WSWS, the initial reaction after listening to this album may be one of slight disappointment. After a couple of listens though the full genius of this thing will reveal itself. The vocals - mostly faint whispers, cries and female shouts - are so far in the background they're barely audible and it even may take a few listens to discover them. This effect really gives the album a haunting, nightmarish edge. A dark, disturbing piece of work; this band will always be one of drone metal's shining "lights".

Yeah I really love the vocals on this for whatever reason. I love them on WSWS too but here they're barely audible and it somehow works brilliantly (like in "The Sun in Braids"). And this is a hell of a lot darker and heavier than WSWS too which is cool.
