This however is pretty good because it takes more than "God rocks, u suck" or "God rocks, lets all hold hands and sing" and details other parts of the Bible, such as Judas and stuff.
I'm sorry man, but if that's what you think all Christian rock lyrics boil down to then you've barely scatched the surface. Try some Demon Hunter, Project 86, Haste the Day, or Living Sacrifice for starters.

I love this album, except for "Thought Like Flames". Never could get into the all-screaming Blindside though.

Pitiful is a great song, and there are some other ones I like, but overall I don't think this album holds a candle to their self-titled album.

There are some great ones on there self-titled. Invert, Empty Box, Replay are probably some of my favorites, but I find Silence to be far superior.

Generic, boring, rock by numbers.

If you want to look at it being formulaic, don't necessarily blame the band - the producer on this one was Howard Benson, and he's kinda well known for some formulaic work (Hoobastank? P.O.D.?). I think this is kind of what you end up with when you take a Refused-style (sort of) Swedish hardcore group and pair them with a producer like him (which was probably the terms of their major label deal or something like that.)

The emotional buildup to climax while christian sings "goodbye" in sleepwalking is one of the best buildups i've ever heard.

I know genre debating is dumb but reading other reviews this album was clumped into the "nu-metal" and "emo" genre for a bunch of reviews when honestly this is more "post-hardcore" if anything.

Just saying.....

it's more of a hard rock with a post-hardcore edge if anything, just saying

I disagree, i gave this one 5, because I think it is the greatest album ever ( for me ). No bad song on here, no filler, every song rocks, vocals are amazing and the sleepwalking bridge is just soooo amazingly amazing

Well the next two albums could not fulfill the expectations, which was kinda obvious, because the bar was set very high with "Silence"- anyway, I think this is gonna stay my fav forever...
