No doubt about that. I prefer their s/t over For Posterity, though. Just barely, however.

I LOVE La Dispute, but Sunday Morning at a Funeral is so disappointing to me. Last Blues is pretty good, though.

Koji sounds better than La Dispute on this. As an LD Fanboy, it hurts to admit, but it's true.

Last Blues is better than Last Blue for Bloody Knuckles (or whatever its called) IMO

Somewhere at the Bottom... will always hold a special place in my heart.

The EP version of it was kind of boring after hearing the original version so many times. It's a fun take on the song, but in comparison, it lacks a lot of dimension and context being just slapped on the end of an already short EP.

That being said, Biomusicology is a cover, but I found that out afterwards, so...

Somewhere at the Bottom is one of my favourite albums, but I think the acoustic or whatever version is

a really cool expansion on it (Last Blues for Bloody Knuckles that is). I obviously can't help but

think of the original when I hear it but I still think it's a better track overall.

I dunno, I feel like the EP version has a much weaker rhythm. The vocals really seem weaker, and I don't get the same impact. It's an interesting version, but Somewhere is just such an epic and tumultuous album that I just don't relate to the new Last Blues as much.

Personal tastes differ, I suppose.

ive still only heard this twice or so. maybe i shouldnt say i like it better, but i definitely wasnt disappointed with the very different direction that they took with it. I thought that it was really well done, and that it found the perfect balance between alluding to the original and exploring new ideas.

Awesome review, I pretty much agree with everything that you said. I love La Dispute, but I much prefer Koji's half of this split.
