You guys a band can be Mathcore and Nu-Metal at the same time, Mudvayne are both.
I hate this album, just terrible vocals And I don't really like the guitarwork.

This album has some really artistic insight, and is a huge step for Dez Fafara. I personally think he has really good 'trying to be death but just not quite there' growls, and I love the guitar work (especially on Grinfuck anf The Fury Of Our Makers Hand). 1 is a very unjustifying rating, even for your reasons.

Just drop off the whole sub-genre thing, please... Geez, do u have to use the term "mathcore" ? i mean, what does it take for a band to be called mathcore? Time signatures? Spazzy guitars? I mean, there is no certain rules that says this band is mathcore or not... I still think that Mudvayne is nu-metal, it just that L.D 50 is more technical than their later albums..

Mathcore is super technical hardcore metal obsessed with time signatures changes and complex arrangements and can even have a link with Grind. The music is usually filled with discordant, technical riffing and usually indecipherable lyrics. Songs can even vary from a minute or two to several minutes (6 or more). Vocals are also usually very technical screams and tend to change speeds. That, my fellow people, is Mathcore.

Get this Mudvayne discussion out of my review. Unless you vote and comment ABOUT the music/review.

Good review, Devildriver doesn't deserve the crap they get. Done. :thumb:

Dude, sorry about that, i just can't stand cravinov and his mathcore ****
I thought your review is good, it gave me a picture of what this album sounds like (i've heard their later album only)
As for devildriver, i always thought they're just an okay band, not great...

Cravinov, I did take another look at the CD, it doesn't appeal to me but the rating I did give was unjustified, but it's still not better then a 2.5 for me.

I think this is pretty good stuff. I like the guitars...

End Of The Line is utterly cool, but the rest of the album wears a bit thin methinks...still better than a lot of crap out there, but a bit monotonous.

I agree totally, except for the last part. This isn't better than much IMO.

I thought they were really, really gay live. I hated how every song would suddenly stop and then the guy would quietly go "Thank you" right after. I found that so gay that it actually ruined their show for me... They were still twice as good as Zao though.

korn blows. devildriver is thrash, most definately not nu-metal or death metal. I prefer DD over coal chamber anyday.
