This is simply the greatest album to be released in the past five years, and it will be worth every drop of hyperbolic acclaim that it receives.

I haven't listened to this but I know I will never agree with this

I'm scared the bandwagon fans are going to ruin this band just like they did with Defeater.

the worst part is that you don't even realize that you're talking about yourself.

I'm not so sure it's the best album of the last five years, but this album is so so so worth the hype it's getting/will probably continue to get. This is a really high 4.5 for me.

If you think this is the best album of the last five years you must not be listening to very engaging music.

My intention was never to put people off about the album.

And Gyro, am I not entitled to my opinion?

Lolz let's go on a site where people post their opinions just so we can tell them they're wrong!

Give it a rest. Silly twats are silly.

it's a damn good album, matt. i can see why someone would say such a thing. plus you said something similar once about Sigh and they are terrible. it's not like opinions are a life and death thing.

Yeah but its a bold statement that I believe.

If my reputation hangs on me being extremely careful, then oh well...I'd rather be able to say my crazy ass opinions, even if half of sputnik comes at me with flaming torches ; )

It's hard for me to imagine this being anything above a 4, but my first impressions are definitely positive enough that I'm willing to give it a chance... really excellent album so far.

Still, you're absolutely entitled to your opinion Sowing... but I can't help but think that the blatant hyperbole detracts from the review a tad (for me, at least). Then again, I also think that any excitement towards music shouldn't be discouraged.
