Room 429 and AAA are my weakest tracks.

So basically any time Devy slows down. With any luck I'll see him at Soundwave.

AAA is pretty solid for what it is.

Is it me or does it sound like one's speakers are about to break during parts of All Hail the New Flesh and Oh My Fucking God D:

Yah prolly but it always catches me off-guard when AHtNF starts and this wall of sound comes in and I'm like "Whoa wtf is happening??".

Or the intro in OMFG, sounds like Gene is raping the drums, like the drum mics can't take those frequencies. Scary shit.

Well the drum fill at the begining of Oh My Fucking God was recorded at a higher input volume and is intentionally distorted.

What isn't on this lol

I still have quite a hard time hearing the actual riffs in the beginning of AHtNF though. More replay value I guess..

The guitar parts on this CD as a whole are not very legible for a lot of reasons.

1. They're not very technical nor insanely memorable.

2. The wall of sound is achieved by a ton of overloads. Every time you record another track of the same instrument you lose some clarity. All of the guitar parts on this are overlayed about 7-10 times.

3. They're not very high in the mix.

That opening scream in All Hail is one of the best I've ever heard.

Almost white noise. But what a fucking white noise at that.

Regarding memorable riffs, the syncopated (with drums) ones in Detox are actually pretty badass. Very catchy too.

Also nice edit ;)

A few of the screams in OMFG are some of my all-time favorites.

Listening to some of this now. Isn't bad at all. I'll buy it if I get the chance.

To be honest the reviews for this have always made it sound heavier and more "out there" then I've ever really considered it.

lol, when it comes to being out there, Devin's vocals and overall perforance warrant it
