You used almost the same summary as I did in my review... other than that, good review.

Now I understand that this album is from the era that kinda paved the way for black metal and what not. That being said though, it really isn't the greatest album. I like a lot of black metal and know what they were going for but going from studio to a 4 track with terrible production, not a good move. Also the riffs, aren't really that good, drums are terrible and the whole thing sounds flat (all that being said, I do own this album) The title track is good, but that's about it

i love the production on this. I agree the riffs are very simple but when couple with the production they have a very hypnotic quality (especially on the title track) and that is what i love about this whole album
