I'm disappointed to hear this went in a R&B direction. Anyone have a standout track I should check out?

3.5 is right, this is fun but nothing too special in the element of TV. And I love TV

I don't know, in my eyes you can look at this album in two ways
1. You can take the elitist view and mark TV On The Radio down because they weren't
experimental/progressive/ ambitious enough..which totally makes sense, because compared to all their other albums,
this is easily the most mainstream. And that may be what you enjoy about TVOTR
2. Or you can take my view and say "Hey, these are the most well done catchiest pop songs I have heard this
year, hell I can't stop listening to it."
So who knows, maybe it's not far-reaching enough, but I have been enjoying the hell out of this album, and if
it was any other band I would give it a 4.5, why not extend TVOTR the same luxury? but, hey, either view is
cool in my eyes.
PS. then there's also the TV On The Radio are overrated and boring view..but I just feel sorry for them.

Or, 3, the insanity approach: You can like the band and realize this album just didn't hit hard enough and in fact wasn't as catchy as you hoped.

In fact, there's probably a different approach for each person who listens to the album, making above post completely useless :P
Oh, well here's the hour long music video accompanying the album to make you feel better

For me, I've never been a huge fan of TVOTR but I've always figured that they were consistent enough. This just strikes me as being dull. :C

Maybe this will eventually click with me if I force it, but for now, this is pretty much the most underwhelming album I've heard all year.
