I honestly don't particularly agree with either review, although I'm definitely more inclined to "side" with Adam.

Also, I usually don't care much for reviews that explicitly reference other reviews, but I realize this is intended as much as counterpoint as anything else, so in this case it works.

Now I'm wondering if it's worth writing a review...

finally someone gives this a proper rating. biggest let-down sitting next to dredg, IMO. i almost feel like there's nothing to talk about here, everything on this album sounds like animal collective b-sides/filler

Nah, Danse Manatee is much ea-

Anyways, I'd go with Strawberry Jam. I'd say its their easiest album to enjoy.

Strawberry Jam is just more of a "fun" album, I'd say. Plus, the two singles ("Peacebone" and "Fireworks") are two of their best songs, period.

Then again, I like Avey Tare more than Panda Bear, and SJ always seemed like more of an album influenced by the former.

mmhmm, the only reference of adam's or any other review was merely in my summary line. any actual references to his review in my actual body were coincidence and not intended. Basically so far most reviews haven't said what I have wanted to say, if mainly because most are positive. Fingers crossed for cmg though.
