Haven't listened yet. Didn't actually know the album was out until I saw it at HMV the other day. So long as Mr.Thessling has audible, and mind-blowing fret-less Bass noodling, album should be pretty damn awesome. Based on the preceding albums, he is the only thing I really like in this band... BUT FUCK DO I LIKE HIM.

Looks like I spoke too soon for this one. It's a little better than my initial impression. I'm digging "Septuagint", "Ocean Gateways", and "A Transcendental Serenade".

Vortex Omnivium is really the only song on par with their last album. The rest is good, but nothing to freak out about.

Yeah Cosmogenesis is better. Could've sworn seeing you having this at a 4 though.

Bass noodling is the only accepted noodling.

You going to actually, you know, rate it?
Cosmogenesis is better in my opinion. Better solos on this, but the vocal work on Cosmo, bass work and
overall wank is catchier.

But Im not sure. I haven't heard EVERY track of this yet. Not enough to rate it.

Suffers from the same problem most tech-death bands do; forgettable songwriting and melodies.

If basically any other band released an album like this, everybody would be shitting their pants.
But, on the other hand it's nothing new, and maybe even a little forgettable.

Meh. It's really forgettable other than the instrumental. Production is pretty awful and the bass isn't as cool as it was in Cosmogenesis. Very generous 3.

I would have liked some more details and information about the album in this review. However, from a writing perspective, this was great. There were some truly pleasant turns of phrase scattered throughout, which is highly refreshing amongst the sea of spelling and grammatical error-strewn reviews I've been wading through lately on this site. Good job, needs some more length, I know this is a very incorrectly phrased sentence, but this is conversational writing. Pos'd.

Thanks, always nice to hear feedback.

Finally lost my neg-ginity it looks like; I kind of wish the people that negged told me why so I could improve though haha.
