It's hard for people not to rate high. They just like it. Even if it's because it's a balls-to-the-wall rock album, it's a breath of fresh air after the past couple albums. I rated this high because of my initial first impression. That's all anyone can base their opinions on right now. If it changes so be it, but there are a lot of people like myself who give high album ratings and then change them to lower ones, and vice versa. Doesn't mean this thing is overrated, it just means that right now people like this album and find it significant.

well that's perfectly understandable STFU (lol), I couldn't be more thrilled for all that those having their collective socks rocked.
I think the fact that every other comment on this album is "Wow, surprised this is actually good" speaks volumes however.
I haven't decided on a rating but this is definately good, just not something I can personally connect with enough to justify a 4+

There is some aggro riffage here, but the lyrics and melodies are as inane as ever.
It's the melody and character that's important for me. I don't look for deep lyrics in rock music, just good hooks. And I didn't strongly dislike their last few albums, so the rating isn't due to any comparison - it's just full of awesome tunes.
