Meh, I just think it's way more interesting than a lot of metal out there. I don't see it as gimmicky, just as I don't see Dillinger Escape Plan, or Periphery, or any Mike Patton projects as gimmicky. Just all a bit fun really. In my opinion anyway =]

Very solid EP so far but can't possibly rate it fairly after only 2 listens. But it definitely isn't better than Alaska or The Silent Circus.

Nice review, though I will say, I found many transitions to be rather chaotic more than seamless (just in general) in their songs.
