Ad hominem? No. Did I say you were an idiot, or did I point out a flaw in your reasoning? There are at least a few thousand people who've heard more death metal than I have, but that alone doesn't mean they have a better understanding of it.
Leaving all that behind, though - I think you should try listening to this album a little more intently. It's certainly nothing "unique," but uniqueness isn't what makes music good if you ask me. Give it five or six more listens over the span of a week or so, and try to make as many of those active. That is to say, try it out not as background music, listen to it while not doing anything else - or at least not anything that requires a lot of attention.
The highlight of this album is definitely its riff development. There are imperfections in other areas but the manner in which the various riffs lead into each other to form phrases, which then lead into each other to form motifs that span the entirety of a song, is something that hasn't really been done quite as well since Timeghoul's second demo.
