A 5 for an EP? Surely this must be good. Currently rounding out on the February releases, will get this asap.

Well I rate EPs like I do other forms of music, so yeah. But I'm glad to see you liked this, even if it isn't a 5 (I don't expect it to be for everyone)

I was just about to rank the five songs, but then I realized it basically went:
Mission Bells > City Lights Cry = Jeb Rand = Neon Love = God Will Get His Man
And even at that I had to struggle not to make all of them equal. The whole thing is just so fucking splendid.

^ WORD.
Did you actually go out and buy this, Sowing? I wanted to, but having already blown my budget on two Iron & Wine albums, Yanni, and two (different, this time) Mars Volta albums, I am currently still forced to visit Bandcamp each time I want my Armistice fix.

Yeah I bought it right off bandcamp the morning after I read your review and listened to the stream. Best 5 bucks I ever spent.

Dude, it costs £3; there's no way you cant afford that.

You never know, especially since 3 euro = more for other currencies

I was reeeally skeptical at first, Sowing. Still don't thing this is a 5, but this is good.

the difference between a classic and a 4 or 4.5 is usually a personal connection to the album (either that or it has to be like, a blow everyone out of the water amazing display of undeniable talent)...so if other people just enjoy it that's enough for me

I conceivably could, but there's other things that factor into a purchase as well. Things like, you know, buyer's guilt.

for something as low priced as that I generally take the stance that it costs the same as a sandwich or 10 cigarettes, so I dont really have to think about whether or not to make the purchase.

I like how we're trying to persuade me to part with five dollars/three pounds haha.
|

I dunno, if you like it as much as you say you do im sure the band would appreciate the (minor) hit to your wallet.

Yeah. I do the same thing. I spend 5 - 10 dollars going out to eat without blinking an eye, and music is something I get much more use out of, so its no big deal.
Irving, 5 bucks is like nothing. What are you worried about?

I agree 5 bucks ain't much but who knows, it could be something to someone else. And nothing is stopping him from listening to the full album on bandcamp for free, so there's no need to try to persuade him to do otherwise.
Anyway, back to the music, yeah I haven't been able to stop listening to this either. At first I liked the first two tracks the most, now I'm starting to really like tracks 3-5 just as much if not more. And I love that the whole thing is so quick and easy to listen to. I can knock the whole thing out on my very breif commute to work, then listen again in full on the way home.

Right now Jeb Rand is my favorite, but I like a new one each day. And while my favorite tracks keep changing, my love for this album as a whole hasn't shifted one bit. This is just so awesome.
