Hang Em High is their best opener yet

Yeah I definitely agree with that. In fact this albums entire opening section is probably my favourite of theirs, although Blackout starts very very well too.

I also really like the opening of Meanest of Times, right before it starts to fizzle out in the mid-section.

Nah that's definitely my least favourite tbh. Not really a fan of Famous For Nothing.

this album is pretty awesome. I don't know if I'm just imagining it, but the sound seems a little muddy compared to past albums. I don't presume to know much about mixing or anything like that but the guitars and drums don't sound as crisp to me. doesn't affect the songwriting, which is still on par with their past albums, but it's a slight annoyance

Broken Hymns sounds kind of Mumford & Sons-ish in places, nice to see them trying to push the boundaries sensibly (as was pointed out in the review).

This is probably my favorite album by DKM. It shows that they are willing to make the subtle changes in their music for the betterment of the band. It was also nice to hear Ken Casey really show up as the lead vocalist though out the album, it gave it the feeling and sound that they were looking for. These guys are one of the few bands that improve by the album.

This kind of music isn't really down my alley, but I still really enjoy it which should tell you something. I'd agree it is about equal to WC at this point, I have never heard Blackout though

I've always been partial to Blackout actually. Worth trying if you like this and warrior's code.

All of their albums are great but this, The Warrior's Code, Blackout and Sing Loud Sing Proud are a cut above the rest and all well worth checking out.
