I'm glad the consensus round here is that Shudder was great.
Might I suggest:
On Love, On Life
The Wrong Way
Sinking And Swimming On Long Island
Already Gone
Seeing Sound
It's Not A Bad Little War
Mona Lisa
The New Flesh
Sick, Sick, Sick
Killing Time
OL,OL is such a great opener.

Glad to finally see a davey review, and a great one at that. I just cannot enjoy anthony as a singer

shudder was garbage in my opinion minus a few songs. this is a step up.

Can't get into these guys. Good review though. Good to finally see another one from you.

Shudder really just bored the shit out of me, and this has been sitting in iTunes for over a week and I haven't listened to it. Will get around to it soon I guess, Already Gone was pretty enjoyable when I first heard it.

the only thing Bayside fans can ever agree on is how awesome they are and that they don't have any one truly mindblowing album or song
......and the spelled out lyrics of moceanu are incredibly annoying

False, I think The Walking Wounded is excellent. Not one track do I ever skip.

Was excited to come home and read this, great write up, Davey. I'd say pretty much the same things about it, think I'll slap this with a 3.5

Thanks Jared & Phideaux. It's been almost 4 months since my last review. I'll probably go bang-bang-bang now though... Especially when certain other staff give up their dibs. ;-)
Interesting track ordering Adam. Having 2 of the 3 weaker tracks in the first 3 spots would be a little concerning to me. If 'OL, OL' was to opne, I'd probably want it a little shorter tbh.
I liked 'Shudder'. I thought it was a little plain initially, but it was a real grower. Roshambo rules. You sure you don't mean 'Moceanau' WatchItExplode.
Thanks Nevin. Although I hope you don't really get "excited" for one of my reviews.

Ooooh, a DaveyBoy Bayside review! Goody! Will have to check this out.
Also, I'm ess-eye-see-kay of my meaningless life. Where see-aych-ay-en-see-ee-ess pass me by!

"How could one not when the Long Island quartet are still to achieve significant eminence, despite being hard-working traditionalists who put on a great live show and are consistent on record?"
Not sure about this sentence (grammar-wise). Good review though.

Great review. Disagree about "On Love, On Life" though. While it's simplistic, yes, I think it's the simplicity that makes it sincere in my opinion.
And I don't get the hate about TWW, I thought it was a great album. I couldn't get into Shudder however.
But definitely their S/T is my fav. Everything about that album is just, ugh so good.

You'll like it Winsomniac... Even though there is no spelling contained within in.
Fair enough SandB. I wanted to get in as many of their strong points into one sentence. Cram away, I say.
shortz, it's definitely simple... Maybe too simple. It just needs something to make it less dull. A hook somewhere, cleverer lyrics or a stronger theme... Although, I'm sure that if its point does mirror something is going through in their life at the time of listening, it could convey it perfectly.
I definitely don't hate 'TWW' btw.
