Yeah I would agree on that. I had to do quite a lot of research for when I interviewed them and Union got them a lot of momentum so saying the impression given that this album marks the start of their ascent is a bit dubious.

I definitely see what you are saying Waior, I didn't mean for the metaphor to imply that they were nothing before this album, just that they haven't reached their full potential (which I stand by). But the shrub analogy probably makes it seem that way, so it was probably a bad choice of metaphors for me to use, especially since I wasn't completely aware of their history.

I really happened to really connect with this, I don't know if it would be worth purchasing for the casual fan/listener

If I remember correctly, you don't like Radiohead, so that hurts your chances. This is similar stylistically to them, just more tailored to the mainstream (kind of like Coldplay). If nothing else youtube the 2nd or 3rd tracks from this and that will give you a better idea =]

I've decided to keep up with the new releases this year (hence the monthly list thing), and since you've been living up to your contributor status it's no surprise that I've been checking out more things you've reviewed. As for this, I have yet to see if it stays a 4, but we'll see.

This is just a good, solid listen. I wonder if the band members listen to Radiohead much?
