nice review except Armageddon is my favorite song by the trio. i like the crimson much more then this cd but thats still an amazing song.

Alkaline Trio's best album, I'd say. Private Eye and Bloodied Up undoubtedly the best songs on it.

This is probably my favourite Alkaline Trio album - it's just so fun.

One of the greatest pop-punk albums ever. "Mr. Chainsaw" was the first song I ever learned to play on the guitar.

Alkaline Trio is what pop punk should be about. This is a great album, they kinda fine-tuned the formula of Goddamnit, the production is a lot better, and all the songs are catchy and full of emotion - yet somehow they are never whiny or "emo" at all.

Don't forget "Take Lots with Alcohol" and "Crawl."
But no way this is better than Goddamit.

Another strong effort from these guys… Their consistency amazes me. I can’t believe the All Music review of this… They go on as if The Backstreet Boys recorded the album. I mean, there is a slightly more accessible leaning to some of the tracks, but it’s definitely subtle enough. Plus, one of those cuts is ‘Private Eye’ which is tremendous and one of their best songs full stop imo. The other thing about this album is that I think Dan started to really improve as a vocalist. I’d have this album about on par with Goddammit & Maybe I’ll Catch Fire. Recommended Tracks: Private Eye, Stupid Kid, Crawl & Mr. Chainsaw.

this is alkaline trio at their finest imo

My favorite Alk3 album. Crawl, I'm dying tomorrow, take lots with alcohol, private eye...
I should stop because they're all insanely delicious

|

But only half the songs are awesome
Godddamnit, Maybe I'll Catch Fire, and Alkaline Trio are non stop awesomeness

"Armageddon" is one of their absolute best songs man, I remember first hearing that on the one of those Warped Tour compilations (I think 2002's) that used to cost like 3 bucks. 3 bucks well spent. I've got to check out the rest of this group's discog, have only heard their first two albums.

Bloodied Up is one of the best songs on here.
