At times this album is simply awesome, sometimes, not so much.

I still can't believe how often I listen to this after having it for almost 7 years. It's probably the only cd that I bought when I was in middle school that I still listen too. That speaks to the quality of this disc, and my lack of funds/shitty taste in music while in middle school.

Cornell has such a good voice, its a shame that the album didn't get much attention

I'm interested in this. I've been digging Soundgarden lately so...
I watched a few performances he's doing (it's on TV right now) and I wondered what happened to his voice. It wasn't bad it just wasn't that good.

This cd is probably the best vocal performance he's ever going to put out. Audioslave was always hit and miss for me, same with Soundgarden.

When I'm Down + Steel Rain shows Chris' voice at its best

When I'm Down is the best thing that Cornell has written/will ever write. Not just his vocals(which are ridiculous), but the moods that it invokes and the style of it. That song absolutely slays me.

Follow My Way is my personal favorite on here. This album was Chris's last truly awesome vocal performance... glad he's still singing though.

apocaliptic and romantic masterpiece, wierd sound to get used to, i mean unplugged band sound and chris screaming, not for everybodies ears, but when you get into it, its very nice album.

The chorus of Cant Change Me pisses me off.

Strangely enough, I actually think Carry On was an improvement on this. This is a solid release, but I think a lot of it falls victim to Soundgarden lite syndrome. The next album may not be quite as consistent, but it has more of its own thing going on.

This is probably my fave Cornell album. Still it's been years since I listened to it.

Album is a forgotten gem..

As fun facts that I'm sure most know already:
Wave Goodbye is a dedication to Jeff Buckley
Album was co-written and produced by Alain Johaness and the late Natasha Shneider who played in the rad band called Eleven, and were both also part of QOTSA's lineup during the Lullabies era..
