Stone is one of the best large craft brewers in the US imo.
never had any goose island. hmmmm.
and apparently they've available no where close to me haha. I'll keep an eye out though. Never had a brew from Chicago.

it's a Chicago brewery, I don't know how available it is outside of the area... visit their website though you can order it. Matilda and Demolition are excellent out of their special reserve, but otherwise I really like 312, Honker's and anything seasonal
edit: lol shit, too late

i believe of is far away from icp but still not leaning towards wu.
the styles are too different.

OFWKTA is far from Wu and ICP (thank god). They're doing their own thing, which is great.

Nice work Random

I bet nobody got the Naruto reference in this review, except for Inveigh.

yeah I didn't mean that they sounded like Wu or ICP so much as I was wondering how we're going to look back on these dudes in 5-6 years
ICP wasn't universally laughed at back in '94 or '95 like they are today...

these dudes are far more talented than icp. just because they are graphic doesn't make comparisons valid really

Album Rating: 4.0
yeah but they talk about the same type of stuff as ICP did in their early days
I agree that they're much more talented and I dig pretty much everything I've heard by them (and I've never liked ICP) -- but whenever I play this for people they either think it's the tightest thing they've heard since Wu-Tang or they think get ICP vibes, it's always one of the two.

just the general wordplay of these guys and the complex rhyme schemes are enough to differentiate them, but also their attitude is completely different. they have such a dont give a fuck attitude that could only be the product of a few teenagers fucking around. it's so cool. their music has this charisma to it that ICP could never get in their music.
people who think these guys are like ICP are probably not really that well versed in hip hop

yeah I'm essentially with you but the thing that was making me question my love for OF was that the people who were comparing it to ICP happen to be people that I respect more than almost anyone I know for taste in music, and specifically hip hop.
also, how badly does Radical need a review? I may have to do that this weekend... was just listening to it on my way in to work this AM, shit rules

well at least one hip hop enthusiast doesn't agree with them on the ICP thing haha
yeah radical definitely needs a review. i should probably review an OF release. i'm so into them
i mean hodgy, tyler, domo and earl are some of my fav new mcs. and theyre all from one group. insane

lol yeah I'm with basically with you, and tbh I've only heard a few ICP songs in full...
hodgy, tyler, domo and earl are some of my fav new mcs. and theyre all from one group. insane
word man, Hodgy might be the most clever lyricist to emerge in the last couple years, Domo's smooth as fuck, Earl's mad talented and Tyler's presence on the mic is unreal.
I need to get the rest of their stuff, I don't have Hodgy's solo album, the first MellowHype or Mike G's album

Any time I see earl I automatically think Toejam and Earl.
