Good review. Bummer about the album... I'm glad I didn't call dibs on it ;)

Oh, and the cover's design kinda reminds me of Limp Bizkit's Results May Vary.

I have to say that this is definitely a fairly disappointing album. Other than a few songs, the entire album is forgettable. The whole album also suffers from sounding really stale. There are a few really good songs, but the album as a whole is lacking. End Of Silence is way better, and is their best album IMO.

It gets a low 3.5 for me, but I very well might end up dropping it to a 3.

I didn't quite like the album at first, but it definitely grew on me, which I could tribute to the fact that Red IS my favorite band :-) Apart from a song or two, I think this album is great, true, not as good as I&I, but a good effort nonetheless.

I'd actually forgotten this was coming out, so thanks for reminding me Jared.

Solid review mate, although it's probably a paragraph too long since your opening one pretty much summarized your review very well in a nutshell.

BTW, does anyone know what these guys do with all their strings when playing live. Do they have additional people on stage or what?

They just play a recording unfortunately. I've seen em a few times, and thats always the downfall of the show, besides that they are pretty spot on live.

Now Skillet brings a cellist and a violinist on tours with them, and it makes for a killer live show. So much better then the recordings.

Album is disappointing. Still a couple really good songs though, and it could grow like I&I did.

^ HES SPEAKS DA TRUF! GAWDD!

good review sir, I personally don't think this is as bad as you say it is. But yea it does come a little too heavy with the generic ballads. I do think some of these songs are their best yet. Ironically Hymn for the missing is currently my favorite song on the album.

I think this is good but i also think we have yet to see them do something more innovative for themselves.

Oh man he considers Chevelle one of the last hopes for mainstream rock!!! What a champ, I thought Jom was literally the only staff member that liked them.

Yeah I heard this was mediocre, too bad, still gonna listen to it, Feed the Machine is sick.
