This album got me started on Bright Eyes, and I still haven't found a Bright Eyes album that is as good as this.
Fevers and Mirrors ranks a near second.

I thought this album was brilliant. But, I also think "Lover I Dont Have to Love" is maybe the best song on the thing too, so I disagree with you there..

No. 1267.
I love this review, it's up there with... well, it's up there. Ending is sweet.
I love what i've heard of Bright Eyes, so I might have to love a bit more.

actually, masda, you're a fucking idiot. conor oberst old band, Commander Venus WAS STRAIGHT EMO. as emo as emo music gets, retard. you're the one that's excluding an entire musical genre because some crappy kids have made a shitty name out of it lately.

By far their best album for me. I absolutely love Lover I Don't Have to Love and False Advertising. Amazingness.

I listen to Bright Eyes usually only when I'm in the mood, but
when I do feel like listening to them, I obviously enjoy it.
This is my favorite album of theirs from what I've heard.

I'd have to disagree with you on Waste Of Paint, and praise you on Make War. I've always thought that song didn't get enough credit. Anyways, I'd have to say this is Conor's best work. Let's Not Shit Ourselves is definitely one of the best songs he's ever recorded

Goddamn this is a crazy good album. Every song is a little different than the last. Only a genius could incorporate probably over 20 instruments into a 13 track album.

the closing track for this is soo good

Just finished listening to I'm Wide Awake, It's Still Morning, which I think is a wonderful album, and I'm thinking about listening to this album next. Figured that'd be a good move.

This album is a close second to being Bright Eyes' best, next to "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning."
There was a week or two where I listened to "Let's Not Shit Ourselves" on repeat daily.

I love it how he shouts at the end of "The Big Picture". It always freaks me out.
The same thing with change of speed and singing "You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will" in the song of the same title.
