I really can't say Janelle is guilty pleasure. Not really. Her albums are superb. But, I think it's art pop or contemporary soul.

Shaka Ponk (this one's guilty pleasure).

@Greg; I don't like fun (the band =P), if you like Tori amos, you need to like her model Kate bush. Alanis Morissette is pretty good, Bjork is decent, and I'll check out the rest you mentioned.
I for myself like Melissa Etheridge, Indigo Girls, Pat Benatar, The Cranberries, Heather Nova, Ani DiFranco, Eddie Brickell, Fiona Apple, Elton John, Billy Joel, Joe Jackson, The Bee Gees, Tears for Fears and even Greenday....
all these and prly more, but at lowwww dose haha.
