i am quite excited to see i'm not the only one who thinks like you. De-loused is excellent and when

it meanders, it's quite interesting to follow.

but Frances and so forth... jesus. you need the patience of Buddha to get through even one song.

great review

I think most people with any semblance of taste prefer De-Loused to Frances

like Frances, the songs on De-Loused are long and go off on tangents, but they feel tightly constructed and there's still a sense of intelligent songwriting behind it all

Frances has its moments but most of the album is endless jerking off. Maybe it appeals to 15 year olds and Dream Theater fans.

Don't get me wrong, I love the crap out of this album. I literally heard this album straight for like 6 months, but hearing Frances was a completely different experience for me. I listened to Frances for about a year. To me, Frances wouldn't be Frances without all that "endless jerking off." De-Loused is still great, though.
