Finished reading, for a first review this is really good.

I have a few criticisms though, for me the review is a bit too linear, in that you run through the album following the tracklist (more or less). I'd have preferred if you had gotten more into the overall feel of the album, as I think it gives a better idea of if you'd want to listen to the album or not.

It might just be personal tastes, but I prefer reviews with more attention put on the whole album in itself, with examples confirming what you're saying. Don't know if I'm being clear at all...

The fact that it is long isn't a problem IMO, especially since there is a long introduction to the context in which the album was made (Which is great since this is relatively unknown).

I'll still pos because it's good review, and you got me really wanting to listen to this (Which is all that counts in the end).

Best sentence is "To put it simply, the beats will either have you bobbing your head or wanting to grab your 9mm and commit drive by's, what more could you ask for? "

That was awesome.

Thanks Tupik, well it's my first foray into reviewing, and I wanted to guide the listener into the beginning of the album, as well as to show the contrast between the introduction of the album and "Brainstorm", but I understand what your point is and I'll be sure to try something new in the future.

When you get that shit figured out, give this a listen, you will not be disappointed, considering you're a Big L fan.

way too long and a few problems with improper adjectives etc. reads like a track-by-track review.

make sure to proof your stuff before hitting submit. just read through 2-3 times. makes sure to read each word.

not bad by any means. i would definitely work on length that's what she said

Well I think subordinate is definitely one of them, I was looking for synonyms to overwhelming and it came up here

http://thesaurus.com/browse/overwhelming

as for the other phantom adjective missuses, I cannot find them.

I can see how you can say it reads like a TBT, because I only excluded 2 tracks, and they were for the most part in chronological order, but like in any expository prose, you want to cite information directly for the reader, so when describing the varying lyrical themes I had to choose songs that had distinct variations in theme, and they just so happened to fall in chronological order. An old school TBT would never expand on lyrical themes or how the album culminates, let alone production.
