This review is solid. That said they have some glaring issues that make me unsure whether to pos or neg it; here are some of them:
i.)
Jimmie took on harsh vocals and clean mostly harsh though.
Sentence doesn't quite make sense.
ii.) Second paragraph is more of a rant than anything else.
iii.) You spend a lot (and I mean A LOT) of time talking about how this Jimmie guy sounds - his vocal style is mentioned by you in basically every paragraph except the last one lol. Decide once and for all where you stand on the guy's vocals as a whole, criticize/praise it, and then move on. I think ultimately that's this review's biggest problem - it doesn't appear to be structured around anything beyond the topic of Jimmie's vocals.
iv.) Try to avoid stop-start-stop bits; for example:
Anyways the other songs try to give the rest of the album the “metal” feel with a few harsh vocal parts in about 80% of the album. But even then it’s very short lived (I mean the harsh vocals). Another bad part album is that most of it sounds like singles.
Starting sentences with "but" or "another" is usually a clue that the transition isn't going to be smooth and rather jarring.
v.) And finally, try to avoid making sweeping statements like those in the opening paragraph. I for one didn't know about the drama behind Nightrage, and I'm sure there are MANY other non-metal fans who didn't as well. Wording it the way you did makes readers feel alienated. Try reading staff/contributor reviews and see how they are designed to pull readers in and sustain them. See people like Knott, SowingSeason, or SeaAnemone for some epically efficient structuring systems.
Now I'm personally unsure whether this review is your best, but you're definitely getting there. Keep at it, and eventually you'll find your definitive style and hopefully become one of the best metal/hard rock reviewers we have on here. I'm sorry if this comes off sounding a bit too harsh, but really good metal reviewers are sparse around here and I see great potential in you. Keep writing my friend.
I hope this helps; cheers!

I just realized how similar your review style is to Hawks'...is it on purpose?

I've never noticed that, and I never tried. But I try to put character in my review, with an overall sound to it as well.

Hey look its Sonic Syndicate. The S.S are really taking it to the Swedish mainstream. However awful this band is, there's another of this ilk I dig but cant remember the name. Had a chick singer/guy growling though.

Hopefully they are dead by April.

@Balls Even though I'm a fan to melo death, I have no clue which band your talking about with a chick singer/guy growling. If I find it I'll let you know.
@Blaizend Hope they're dead by April, but they said their next album is gonna be more aggressive I'll probably look into it, not expecting it to be good.

I mean they are so fucking similar and Swedish that you would think lastfm would pair them.

I know what your talking about by them being similar and Swedish I just haven't come across them yet, and lst.fm has some bad comparisons & labels. It said Dead by April was Melodic Death Metal, LOL.

Must be talking about OPETH.

DbA is coming out with a complication on jan. 10th 2011, I actually want to listen to it because it has a heavier version of the song Trapped.

This is by far the worst "metal" album EVER unless someone can enlighten me. My word this was horrible!!

Yes playgroundfading, they are excellent.

no, playgroundfading, they suck monkey dick. But if you like pop with occasional screams, synths, and very generic instrumentation. Then by all means check it out.
But the song 'Stronger' is okay imo, everything else gnaws on sweaty scrotum.

I honestly enjoyed both Stronger and Erased. Pretty solid songs. Everything else on this album falls short though.
