5 seems really a little high to me but if u think so...

The second half of the album is less interesting so i only give it a 4 .

Pretty sure it was just a nostalgia 5.

Album is a 5 for me for nostalgia, not for how good it actually is.

Zipper, Corey has stated in numerous interviews regarding the recording of the self-titled that Robinson had him screaming till his body couldnt take it anymore and he repordely threw up all of the vocal booth several times during takes. He also threw shit at Joey during drum takes. lol.

Your review has convinced me to listen to this again, so it must have done something right. (Sic) is such a good opener

I don't play guitar, but a friend of mine does (probably poorly,) and he told me that this album is hard on guitar lol. I didn't believe him, even though I had no reason to argue with him because I don't know shit about instruments. But who can confirm/deny this?

also, album is pretty good - both this and Iowa are nostalgic as fuk.

he probably just really sucks at guitar man.

Yeah, he's actually just a work friend, so I've never heard him play. I assumed he prolly sucks tho when he said Slipknot was hard.

slipknot never started playing interesting things on guitar till vol.3

constant palm mutes with the occasional open note.
it's okay though, they're tuned to drop b, so that makes it okay

Yeah, Slipknot never really had technical guitar work till Vol. 3, this and Iowa just have heavy palm muted riffs tuned in drop b.

The guitarist "Mick Thomson- Slipknot" is a very skilled one.

He is at position 19 on 100 in the World Best Metal Guitarist by the famous metal music journalist Joel McIver published in 2010.

Even with nostaliga this isn't a 5 for me, and believe me a LOT of memories of old are attached to this album

Good review though, makes me want to listen to this again, I certainly now remember it at least being better than the 2.5 rating I currently have it at...
