This is definitely a grower, but there are so many nuances throughout the record to warrant repeated listens.

My top three would probably be "UNKLE Main Title Theme", "Bloodstain" and "Rabbit In Your Headlights".

Probably one of my favorite things about the album is how intertwined everything is everything else. "The Knock (Drums Of Death, Pt. 2)" is probably one of the weaker songs on the album. However, when I found out that they actually sampled Mike D's vocals on "UNKLE Main Title Theme", and how the "Breather" portion of "Nursery Rhyme" has that same hip-hop feel to it as "The Knock (Drums Of Death, Pt. 2)" does. So you already have bits of the song ingrained into you even hear it in its entirety.

This album is genius.

Their loss.

I definitely have. Wouldn't have felt right making that reference in the review if I haven't. I need to revisit Tobin's catalogue. I love his, and Shadow's, drum programming ability.

Get it, get it. And let me know if you pick up on any of the nuances I threw in there. There are a few.

Thanks, siles.

I have not, actually. "Psyence Fiction" was one of my first electronic records, and for a while I looked everywhere trying to find something similar. I never could and I got discouraged with the genre for a bit. I'm much more open-minded now, though. What's it sound like?

I read the review for the album, and saw a Burial reference. The way you describe it... I will listen ASAP.

I'll definitely come find you for more recs. Thanks in advance.

My issue is that I obsess about it. So, there will always be large gaps of time between my reviews.

I wish I could art and music. And, I'm totally okay with leaving the writing to the professionals.

Somby! =]

I'm obsessively OCD when it comes to my writing. It makes me feel like I'm losing my mind, and it's such a chore to write in coherent sentences for the entire length of a review.

I'm trying, though... =/
