Yeah, i don't understand how you can actually hate this album. That is unless you just hate post-rock as a genre.
lol

ok? I never said you hadn't. You were the one that suggested we hadn't, I think? I'm not really following.

I thought that at first too, but now I'm starting to think You Are There might just be better.
You Are There has more lasting value imo. I do tend to listen to that album a little more than
this now. Hymn to the Immortal WInd is more consistent throughout, but I like them both for
different reasons.

I'm pretty sure he was responding to Bitchfork's comment, Sea. I can understand the mix-up though.
It's just forum style posting basically.

Pretty sure the albums I find boring would be 2.5, not 1, because 1 suggests that it's atrocious. I just find it hilarious that out of all the post-rock albums out there (because yes, there are some really boring ones) you'd pick something like this to give a 1 to, an album that has some very enjoyable moments. Are you seriously telling me that 'Follow the Map' is an awful song?
Also, porch quoting me out of context was BELIEVE IT OR NOT a stupid thing to do

Yes, I have. I love DMST, Slint is cool, i enjoy spiderland, I really like A Silver Mt. Zion, and Spokes is alright.

I've listened to some of youth pictures of florence henderson's stuff, and i really don't get why that would make you hate this album.

oh man B4K gonna quit listening to Pavement and slap that album on right now... thanks for the reminder, back to studying I go!

"Pretty sure the albums I find boring would be 2.5, not 1, because 1 suggests that it's atrocious."
I am suggesting it is atrocious. This is by far the cheesiest, most insipid and stereotypical take on post-rock my ears have ever been disgraced with outside of The Album Leaf. The "climaxes" made me laugh and the fact that they build you up to take you nowhere is like musical blue balls, slow jerk and no pay.
"Are you seriously telling me that 'Follow the Map' is an awful song?"
Yes. Why do you not get this? I thought my 1.5 was enough but apparently it is not.

"I've listened to some of youth pictures of florence henderson's stuff, and i really don't get why that would make you hate this album."
because giving this a five requires giving youth pictures of florence henderson's s/t a 50.

well you can read what the people who dislike it say about it

They mostly say that it's boring and not as good as other post-rock. You Are Here gets boring at times but I don't think this one does. Yet.. I find Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia to be boring.
