oh by proto you meant records that shaped the formation of PE without themselves being PE? i wasn't sure if you meant that or just the pioneering records of the genre. ya yuh know i haven't heard a ton of pre-PE era industrial albums but there are certainly perspicuous traces of the genre in this from my vantage point; in the first song especially.
