maybe i'm just a metalhead, but i also listen to a bunch of alternative stuff like this and this band pretty much blows in comparison to other bands

I kinda dislike this album, a lot.

However, my favorite SOTY song ever is track #1. & the hero will drown is amazing.

And.. it's not about relationship problems.

Okay, wow, Nu-metal??? What? no. Pop-punk with a very alternative feel. It only passes as post-hardcore if you spend all day watching MTV.

Anyway, I spent the majority of my jr and sr years in high school listening to this album. It's definitly not bad for pop-punk. But I'd like to think that I've grown past this kind of music. And that only seems appropriate considering so did this band. In the Wake of Determination could have been done by a different band entirely. Unfortunately, by the sound of the new song they have on their myspace from the upcoming album, it looks like they might be heading back towards their pop/alternative sound. But Take Me Back sounded that way...so maybe it's just a hook.

As for the review, try harder. You seem to be a sucker for the catchy, poppy hooks they have in the songs, rather than the genuinly creative parts...Falling Down is easily one of the best songs here. This Message Edited On 02.07.08

Man, it's been a long time since I played this. Put it back on, just as good. Too bad the next album blew. Heres to hoping the new album will be better.

And The Hero Will Drown is nice, but the rest of this album is pretty meh. This is much better than the postceding album though.

This album just doesn't really click with me like others do. The first couple of tracks are pretty cool, but after that, it just goes into generic cliche songs, and it feels a little samey after a while...
