can't say I've ever heard EW referred to as "entry-level" before
|

considering the entire scope of its particular kind of metal, i'd say it's pretty entry-level
doesn't mean it isn't awesome though

Entry-level metal? I guess quite the opposite.

well I mean probably entry-level compared to stuff like Boris or Thou, or Dopesmoker-Sleep (Holy Mountain's probably the most accessible of the bunch) but I mean...
a lot of people consider stuff like Baroness and Mastodon sludge, and those bands are far more entry level than EW to me.
I guess you could say this is entry-level for elite metal maybe

Exactly, Hans. I'd say that out of the records released this year the Sword last album was way more entry-level doom metal than this release.

cam's right, this is real easy to get into. you got bands like Buried at Sea, Aldebaran, and Atavist making this look weak.

well this album is definitely EW's most accessible (or at least up there with Witchcult) but I mean as far as saying this could be entry-level for someone looking to get into metal... idk
