As far as Atheist and Cynic being similar...what? They're nothing alike. At all. Gnostic and Atheist are, however; Gnostic was written by Steve Flynn, who wrote Atheist's stuff with Shaefer (and plays drums on this album) and the other two members are also in Gnostic.

Nice review, anticipation is now through the fucking roof. Atheist can do no wrong in my eyes; Elements in my mind was an all-out jazzy tech-death masterpiece, and I actually would have liked to have seen them continue in that direction. That said, it's still reassuring to know their sound has hardly changed since Unquestionable Presence.

i know a lot of people dont really like elements but songs like green and elements have an awesome groove to them which i love and i just love the strong jazz bits, i think the albums let down by shit production
