it's a side project of Matthew Cooper with Charles Buckingham. They recorded an album back in 2007, made it a free download, and I downloaded it sometime last year. But they recently took that download off and released the album and an EP through a record label.

Anyways, I wrote a review for the LP, which this reminds me of (this is a bit better). The EP (Rain Furniture) is fantastic though.

such a large song is asking quite a bit from the listener

it's a shame we're such a consumerist society that we feel it's a chore to engage music that isn't

neatly packaged for us to ipod for quick-developing, efficient ear-boners on trips to the bathroom or

between commercials (nice review)

what? that's so stupid. Fine, break it up into like six 9-ish minute songs and call them "Static Nocturne parts 1 - 6" Why does it matter how a 50 minute piece of music is labeled?

if you're alive you got 24 hour days so u got 50 minutes somewhere you just have to choose to spend it

with matthew cooper or the internet or tv or work or people etc

I guess I can understand that, I listen to full albums a lot more than I listen to single songs so it doesn't really bug me. I also listen to this album a lot on repeat while I sleep.

Also, I thought that natey was quoting a comment from the first page, not the review (i was too lazy to look at the last 2 pages of comments). But i read the review a few days ago and it was good so excuse my harsh tone hahaha

I just listened to this for the first time, and i listened to all of it. 50 minutes never went by so fast in my life, this song is just unbelievable.

Its not just static. Its what he does to manipulate it into different noises and music that makes it unique and awesome to listen to

this needs much more love. I have no idea what I would write about this but I really want it to have a higher rated review so I might try to tackle it.

yeah I go back and forth but Copia is a solid, steady 5 for me and this is a super high 4.5 so overall I prefer Copia. This hits the spot more sometimes though.
