1) supposedly, Greg Allman or Dickie Betts or whoever wrote "melissa" wrote it when he was only 15
2) according to legend (once again), Duane Allman got run over by a peach truck just a week or so after deciding on the name of the album. At least thats what my Pa says.

Hate to tell you bad moon but Duane was dead when ABB recorded Les Brers in A minor. That solo is all Dickey man! Look it up in the album credits. As far as rating eat a peach? Can I give it a 6?

A fantastic album indeed, albeit messy. I understand its because of Duane's death and everything, so its all good. Alot of people say The Allmans could never just gel in the studio (something I disagree on) but with this its totally different. Great album, great band, great era. Oh and Fillmore East is just about the greatest album of all time lol, sincerely.
