"Blacklist" sounds like walking through mud

Blacklist seems to get alot of flak mostly because of the production in the vocals and the lyrics. Yeah the lyrics arent all that great but in the scope of the album it is a pretty interesting and fun track.

Blacklist kinda sucks. But the rest of the album is fire. "Don't Go" makes me wanna cry. "Crucify Me" is epic, "Blessed With a Curse," albeit quite repetitive, has a beautiful sound and damn that lovely blues guitar, "Visions" is straight up powerful, fun, and upbeat. Really the whole thing rocks. And "Fuck" is fun, and the help of YMAS vocalist was nice. Always loved his voice.

Gotta say the album cover is pretty cool.

Crucify Me is their best song by quite a distance.

Closing on Blessed With a Curse woulda been a smart move cos Fox and the Wolf is a shit closer.

Eh its just by the numbers a little bit, I like how far Oli pushes his voice though.

"I'm sorry but I just can't get past the fact that both Anthem and It Never Ends intros are exactly the same and Visions uses the same riff from Death Breath."
The reason for the same intros on Anthem and It Never Ends, is because it symbolizes the connection between the two songs. Narratively speaking of course.

Crucify Me, Don't Go and It Never Ends are really good songs, but the rest is a bit of a blur for me.

Ugh, if they combined the songwriting of this with the direction of Sempiternal, that would be great

Is sempiternal good I haven't listened to this band in years but I heard good things about that one

Erm, it's certainly different enough to like if you didn't like any of their past material
Listen to Sleepwalking, And The Snakes Start To Sing or Can You Feel My Heart and see if you like those. If you don't, it's unlikely you'll like anything else on Semp

A lot of nostalgia attached to this, remember picking this up when it was released having never heard the band.
Oh how things have changed haha.
