I thought this was a fantastic review. I haven't heard the album, don't plan to either. I think most
of the negative comments (I'm looking at your Strikey) were reactions to a disagreement in rating. I
mean, it's a really good review. I think so anyway.

And cheers for the pos's guys. I'm gonna agree with Aids that the negs are down to people disagreeing with the rating rather than the review itself but I suppose it comes with the territory when you give something a low rating, people will be more easily moved to disagree and want to express that, fair enough.

I agree with Knott; too much focus on the lyrics. While I can see your point, punk-poppers don't grow up so quickly. They always have a bit of adolescence. Also, I like that they took their wit and matched it with a modern theme. Best album from them by far since The Green Album.

This is surprisingly not horrible, but it's nowhere near a return to form.

What a load of bollocks. I do disagree with the rating, but I have no inclination towards this band whatsoever. Pinkerton and Blue are good... I don't adore either of them. And this album is a 4, in my head, but I don't judge reviews based on that.
I also didn't neg this. I think there's a tone of arrogance running through it; I think you don't talk anywhere nearly enough about the music; but I didn't neg it. It takes something pretty bad for me to vote against a review. So... shut the fuck up.

I've only heard "Memories" from this and I think it sucks. I agree with your first paragraph: if the Blue album and Pinkerton never existed, would we still be talking about Weezer so much? Would people like the music they're making now as much? Interesting to think about.

I really see how this review is arrogant. I mean, he gave it a 1 and in my opinion justified that ranking. I guess it's a bit cynical, but that comes with the territory when discussing Weezer these days.

I'd say it's better than Raditude and maybe Red, but nothing else.

People really exaggerate how bad Make Believe was.

I dunno I have a soft spot for quite a few songs on there that are much better than half or more of the songs on here.

What do you think are the weaker tracks?

Very well-written. Good job.

this CD owns hard, sorry. posing because it's well-written, but I surely fundamentally disagree with you here. "Run Away" is such a good fucking song.

Generic Weezer album.

I think Trainwrecks might be my favorite.

So... shut the fuck up.
Adam, chill. I wasn't saying you negged it or anything I just thought it was strange that you disliked the review because I read it and thought it was great (I rarely pos, but did here). I just made a guess that you didn't like the review because the rating was so low, I was trying to start a sputnik flame war.

Well, I didn't like the review, haha. But I didn't neg. I neg so so rarely. But it was mostly the implication that I would've negged it because I liked the album which annoyed me.
Any case that was targeted half at both of you so I retract half of it, and probably the other half too. Sowwy!
