Thing about "Boxer" is that it has a couple of tracks that are very un national like "Brainy" "Green Gloves" and "Ada" have yet to grow on me




Brainy and Ada are up there with my favourite National tracks. I just love the dark tone of Ada, it sends shivers every time i listen

Green Gloves has recently become one of my fav national songs. The opening bit created more emotion for me leaving my hometown for university then anything else. (well maybe st. Ides Heaven by Elliott Smith)

but in terms of the music, i feel that this album is just missing something. Boxer and High Violet create such an amazing atmosphere and this just doesn't have that. the vocals and everything just dont feel as evolved as they do on the next 2 albums.
