Man, I hate it when artists put a closeup picture of their face on the cover. And the music, I've never been that much of a Tarja fan and after listening to this I got exactly what I thought I would get. It's simple yet decent, but nothing jumps out for me at least.

There are a couple of good tracks on this record though so I'm probably looking at solid 3, unless it starts wearing on me later on.

I think this review nailed it. I love tarja but her solo albums are really unimpressive.

Anteroom is epic! :O Anyways.. IMHO this is improvement. She gave much more attention to the music and the lyrics sometimes remind me those of WT. The theatrical atmosphere is well-conceived, could be better but I don't think she wanted to focus on that. What I didn't like is the cohesion of the album. I mean I was feeling all the time a constant change from an upbeat to a ballad mood that happened too often and too soon. Think she should have arranged the order of the songs a little bit better. Other than that I don't like for the first time ever :O her vocals. Fortunately only on one song Rivers of Lust. I like though that she expresses her concerns about child abuse. Naiad has an electro-element which is cool and the cover of Still of the night is blowing me away.

(Oh, and because I read about her beauty... don't forget she is over 30 now. But I'd like to see her gain a few kilos. But then again what appearance has to do with music?)

Sad to see how people feel the need to comment on this ladies appearance. Just show's how great their parent's were at bringing them up, mind you, they were probably bought up in the gutter, like most working class people, no manners, no respect and really no taste in appreciating any kind of art. Just like apes, play them loud noises and they are happy.

Not really a Tarja fan overall (like most symphonic metal that has strong power metal influence e.g. Nightwish, Within Temptation etc. it just doesn't chime with me cos the gothic elements are played up to be too hammy compared to other gothic acts). But I Feel Immortal is a solid track. Think I prefer it to the original Kerli version (known as Immortal) as Kerli's original pop approach meant the emotional impact of the lyrics didn't really have any effect.
